He is well-known for his work on the Dateline NBC television segment To Catch a Predator which is what this situation is a direct parody of. These investigations revolved around catching potential Internet sex predators using a sting operation.

Two bow shots and he's dead? What kind of wussy adventurers are these? He looked really cool too... How will we be able to prove that assassins are the nice people that the paladin knows they are if they all die early on?

Also, why are the hot women not invading the southern area? I'm sure a little vitamin Jinx would make them realize that all their murdering monster ways are just because they need a little loven from a seasoned, action man!

From the short bit we have seen of the adventurers I like Sir Tanksalot and the paladin the most. Also the assassin, who is dead now.

Also, the adventurers can see Jinx? I thought I was better hidden in the forest then that. I knew that it needed better camouflage! Worst, why did you make such a visible house for me to live in anyway? and why arn't they dead from traps yet? If they can see me they should be surrounded by them. <grumble>

Also, if I am going to be raking a lot maybe we need some kind of a rock garden. With sand and stuff. I read that those frequently get raked around aimlessly.

On another note, anyone care to speculate what the challenge rating on my forest base might be? It's a heavily trapped area with one goblin guard which I'd imagine isn't too hard but all dice rolls would be at a negative 1-3ish per roll (plus who knows what other weird things), which would surely push the average up quite a bit. How much would it go up?

It's good to hear that Thunt is planning to put the comic in his fan section. Maybe he should save it for the grand opening of TF9 instead. That would be a nifty buildup. Say... when IS Tempt's Fate 9 coming out anyway?

So worst, how did the scanning go for the first 2 page? I remember you had a lot of trouble t first time around and that it got pretty costly. Hope things went better this time.

If you recall from the TF9 Q&A zathyr, Thunt is the one that wanted PvsP. Winner steals an item and does some damage to the loser, I believe, his concept was. If we are going to have PvsP anyway, I'd prefer it to be an honor fight, rather then stealing from each other.

Also, this isn't exactly an action game. You get 12 moves a day. I'm just not playing when I talk, it's not a big deal and closing/opening the chat screen is not a problem. It's simple to talk, close the screen for a minute and do something and then open it again. Plus, there is the option to have text pop up at the side of the screen, which is a bit annoying but you can no when other people are talking without stopping play.

That said however, a seperate window may indeed be a better idea. My point was that a chat system of some kind would be a nice feature, regardless of the specific form it takes.

Well, I think it's got some neat features that would be a good addition to the game. Like the honor fighting. It uses my concept thoughts for TF9 on it. You see someone, you fight, winner gains bravery/intuition points while the loser has theirs taken. After the battle, nothing is stolen and hit points are restored.

Have you tried this game doug? I thought the chat room in SQ was a good feature, could we have chat room in TF9? The coloring system was good in it too. Though some might consider it a tad... too much choice, I liked it. Instead of a choice system you move a slider up and down the range of colors and then click on a seperate box to get the proper shade.

I also like how you can form guilds for group rewards. That might be a tad much for TF9 though. They also have secret passages, something like that could be fun. Hidden in the maps are special areas for us to go or something.

I like the talking heads thing too. Maybe when getting to an area you get dialogue, maybe you respond too and the right responses get you a reaction bonus or who knows?

I really think this game has lots of interesting ideas to give for TF9 when it comes out.

So, I was talking to Slings awhile ago and he was lamenting that he didn't get to cast magic in the story Worst wrote.

I thought about that for awhile and realized that, even if she did have more magic casting, there was one thing missing.

She didn't know his IME. She doesn't know anyone's IME. Seems to me that would be important for writing the story, especially since that was a requirement of making a character and submitting it for Thunt.

So why don't we put down our IMEs here. I have no idea if she wants to do another story but any information would help.

Also, if you have any other character traits or relationships that you think could make good plot hooks, feel free to add them as they might take on a role in the story.

My IME is fuchsia. Cause it's a girly color and Jinx is quite embarrassed to have it.

As for a plot detail. Um, not only is the area around my house trapped but I've spent a few years digging tunnels around the area in case of any intruders. It also doubles as an escape hatch incase anyone attacks me in my home. They are spread all around the marked danger area but all the doors except the one at the house are exit only. He usuually uses them in his daily patrols of the area. Making sure everything is as it should be through various slits in the tunnels.

This lets him sneek up on any adventurers that come in. Maybe he fires through the slits with a ranged weapon of some sort. He also has a high up perch hear his hut for checking things out when he hears an alarm go off so he can check to see if it's an animal a goblin or an adventurer and where they are. He then uses the tunnels to get there if he considers them dangerous. If not, he'll probably wait for them at his hut. Whenever possible, he likes just messing with adventurers using his jinx. It's the one fun thing he can do.

I'd like to know for sure because one of the guide achievements is three quarters of the way done. Once an achevement is done by a guide, it cannot be done again and it only benifits the people that are currently playing. So, if anyone wants to join (and we can hold 8 people) I'd like to know before I get the reward.

It's a charisma point. For anyone making new characters, make sure to keep charisma at 4. It's only good for adding new characters and when we get that point then you can have a 4 person party. Which becomes available to make a bit later on.
