Maybe Minmax isn't very self aware. But according to traditional Minmaxing wouldn't his Charisma be a 3 or something?

I would think so, for a fighter-type.

And maybe that is part of the joke?

But then again, I don't think that any of MinMax's scores are below 12, except maybe his INT.

His dump stat is probably Wisdom and/or Int. It's tough to tell since he's a PC and clearly not trying to roll play his stats.

However Charisma effects appearance and he's not ugly. Further it's possible the player intends for him to be a great leader of men some day.

Or King of the Universe with a great big harem to try out his charisma on!

I assumed 'MinMaxing' meant tailoring your character's attributes so they end up (in MinMax's case):
Str: 18
Dex:18
Con: 18
Int:3
Wis:3
Cha:3
Or as close he could get to that.
Am I mistaken?

but he also traded other stuff, like the ability to read and dress himself! I dont think his dex is maxed but I know his strength is and he as a running ability

Didn't he trade literacy specifically for an extra +1 to hit?

If he really does have high charisma I wonder what else he sacrificed for that. I'd say perhaps a sense of taste, but we know he has that from the whole incident with the cup.

Well, it did occur to him to wonder why there wasn't a line at the talking wall, if it was as good at answering questions as it claimed.

And to figure out, shortly thereafter, that maybe it isn't.

So either his Int or his Wis is a bit higher than we would have guessed.

If the player has a reasonable intelligence score, it's hard to roleplay out a lower one. Especially when it comes to dry witticisms or wry commentary. This might account for what you're saying, warrl.

I think it's more the other way around. If the player is dumb, it is very hard to play a smart character (and they will end up speaking like Kin, and still acting dumb). A smart, good roleplayer can play a dumb character. Maybe a very dumb is easier than just a little dumber than the player.
