The ground has opened beneath the party and they've begun to fall inside, everyone except Darmeth who isn't there right now, another comic will have his story.

Darmeth is walking around, holding a torch. "See guys, I totally tricked you, you never even saw me as you walked past me. I TOLD you gnome invisibility rocks! Guys?"

Ethan shows everyone how to roleplay - 3/22/2010

In my tabletop games, we often have at least one of the six people not show up. When that happens, we just have someone play the other person's character. The artificer, played by my friend Matt Matt, and the warden, played by my friend Josh, both often play each others character and sort of make fun of the other character.

This comic was done in that spirit, who would let Ethan play Arthur's character? Hard to guess, on one hand, Ethan is going to powerplay, on the other hand, Ethan might have your character commit seppuku. Hmm...

Camera pans right, old man is taking his dentures out and putting in fanged dentures, his face is pale, his eyes yellow, etc. , Arthur has big eyes, Ethan's still facing away and his dagger is glowing.

Arthur small text"Uh old man...?"

Old Man"I'll eat your soul!"

The old man has leaped on Ethan's back and is biting his arm.

Ethan"Get off me old man"

Mareg"Huh, was that standard move or a run?"

Skill Challenge: Find the lich queen's lair - 11/2/2009

A skill challenge is an interesting mechanic to push the players to do more than just combat, or more than the DM stringing the players along between combat. When the group fails a skill challenge, you can't have it end the adventure, but rather, something bad happens. The best things are"fun" things that happen when you fail... or at least I think so anyways. :)

Concept: DM has wanted to play for a long time, DMnet the IBM supercomputer is in charge now as surrogate DM. DM wants to come in and be sauve, the hero, he hasn't ever been a"player" before, DMnet cuts him down in size...literally.

Dm's character starts as

Darmeth the human bard, hes dashing, has plate armor, awesome hair, and a great sword strapped to his back

But ends up as

Darmeth the gnome bard, wearing those weird tightpants, a shortsword at his belt, a wand in his hand, and holding his familiar, a weasel by the name of Nip.

Darmeth comes striding up to Lia and Ethan

Darmeth"Greetings! I am Darmeth, I heard there was a little problem with a lich..."
from off screen, DM.net's digital voice comes in,"Error. Character Scan indicates invalid options"

Dungeons and Diseases: Another example of branding gone wrong! - 7/27/2009

So the CDC is going to be doing a lot of PR with the swine flue..wait, I mean H1N1, see, PR spin already. How will they tap into that social media geek market? Branding, one example, is Hasbro the evil megacorp, taking advantage of D&D and allowing anyone with the cash to buy a rebranded set of rules based off of D&D.

Where is my Eberron cereal? I want marshmallow dragonshards.

DMnet's Famous Kobolds throughout the ages - 7/9/2009

Slav the Sly, Zas the Dynamo, Farn the Fleet, these and other kobolds have managed to earn something few other kobolds do, a title beyond"free xp","Peon","Minion","food". They didn't necessarily last longer than other kobolds, but they often went out of style.

DMnet lists a few of these kobolds in today's comic.

Arthur"I didn't remember until after the dragon was dead and would you want an awake Ethan after forgetting to heal him for 4 rounds?"

Complicated possible addition: Lia is frosty and Ethan's body can be seen laying against a wall kinda outa view, maybe his tail seen limp.

Dragon"I'll use your bones as toothpicks, your skulls will act as nice trophies"

Mareg"Grrowl!"

Dm is looking at his screen, Albert has his head down and is rolling 4 dice randomly, Ethan pokes the dice with a pencil
